The DIGITALK platform is based upon a modular architecture incorporating multiple intelligent nodes each configured with any combination of E1/T1 and DSP resources. These nodes can be interconnected via a high capacity non-blocking Fibre Optic backbone allowing calls to be routed between any ports of any node of the platform.
This solution allows the DIGITALK platform to be used within a multi-carrier environment without the need for additional least cost routing equipment. The DIGITALK platform can be scaled seamlessly by increasing the number of nodes.
